Grapes – Grapes are good for you, in spite of their relatively high sugar content. They should just be eaten in moderation and not in mass quantities!!! They are high in resveratrol, part of a group of compounds called phytoalexins that plants produce in self-defense against environmental stressors. It acts as an antioxidant and to reduce the build-up of plaque in the arteries.
Grapes also do not ripen after being picked, so purchase ripe grapes attached to the stem. Store in the refrigerator for several days.
